TuneFrame is a browser extension that mirrors the YouTube Music player to a companion hardware display and relays the display's controls back to your YouTube Music tab. This policy explains what data it handles.
While a music.youtube.com tab is open, the extension reads the current player state (track title, artist, cover art, playback position and volume) and your YouTube Music feed and playlists, so it can show them on the display. It also carries out playback actions you trigger from the display (play/pause, next/previous, volume, search, opening a playlist).
This information is sent only to a companion "bridge"
application running locally on your own computer (over a local
localhost connection), which forwards it to the display over
USB. Nothing is sent to the developer, to any remote server, or to any third
party.
The extension does not maintain user accounts and stores no personal data on any server. Small technical values (such as a temporary flag used when starting a shuffled playlist) may be kept in the tab's own session storage and are not transmitted anywhere.
Questions or issues can be raised on the project's GitHub repository.
